About five months before IFA will open its doors once again, Toshiba demonstrated that the buzzword of the “Digital Home” isn’t just another hype to 200 European journalists in Barcelona. In fact, those attending could see for themselves how Toshiba’s so-called “Multiscreen Vision” came to live – enabling wireless streaming of media files between notebooks, TV sets and other devices. Now, it does not matter anymore, whether a video file stored on a PC should be played on a TV or a multimedia tablet: An intuitive interface on all of the connected devices enables users to easily drag & drop files from one device to another without having to think of the devices’ different screen resolutions.
Besides the easy sharing of audio and video files beyond various types of displays, Toshiba also presented its latest notebooks with screen sizes between 13 and 17 inches. The range of new products for the digital home was completed with several new Full HD TVs: Besides DLNA certification and Windows 7 compatibility, most of the devices featured Edge-LED lighting, enabling a slim design as well as very low power consumption.
Anyway, all new models will be available in stores within the next two months. Then, everybody will be able to get an idea of the “Multiscreen Vision” themselves.
